DASS TECH Emerges as Key Beneficiary of Korea’s Renewable Energy Push
– Inverter technology spotlighted amid growing solar infrastructure –

As the New administration accelerates its energy transition strategy to drive industrial upgrading, attention is turning to Korea’s solar power ecosystem. With expanding infrastructure for solar and wind energy, demand is rising sharply for core power conversion components—particularly inverters.

In this shifting landscape, DASS TECH, a leading Korean solar inverter manufacturer, is gaining recognition for its robust technological edge.


Founded in 2006, DASS TECH offers a comprehensive product lineup ranging from single-phase residential inverters to megawatt-class utility-scale models. Its portfolio includes small- and mid-sized products such as 15kW, 25kW, 35kW, 50kW, and 125kW inverters, catering to diverse installation needs.


According to Korea’s 11th Basic Plan for Electricity Supply and Demand, the nation’s renewable energy capacity is projected to grow from 30GW in 2023 to 78GW by 2030, and further to 121.9GW by 2038—equivalent to the output of 65 nuclear reactors. This massive expansion underscores the need for technological advancement and greater localization across the entire renewable energy value chain.


DASS TECH has responded with proprietary high-efficiency circuit designs, including multi-channel MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) systems that maximize energy yield, and multi-level inverter topologies that reduce switching losses. The company’s products are also equipped with insulation resistance and residual current detection for automatic shutdown, enhancing operational safety with built-in ground fault protection.


In compliance with Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO)’s distributed generation interconnection standards, DASS TECH has developed smart inverter functions such as Volt-VAR control, Frequency-Watt regulation, and fault-ride-through capabilities that maintain operation during grid disturbances.


From an operational perspective, DASS TECH differentiates itself with its AI-powered digital O&M (Operations & Maintenance) system, offering remote diagnostics, fault prediction, and real-time monitoring—all provided free of charge. This next-generation platform goes beyond conventional web-based tools by enabling predictive maintenance, thereby improving both efficiency and reliability for solar plant operators.


In addition, the company is actively pursuing LCOE (Levelized Cost of Electricity) optimization strategies, combining decentralized string inverter architecture with centralized layout techniques to achieve both high efficiency and cost savings. These capabilities also align with growing national priorities around energy security and data sovereignty, positioning DASS TECH as a technology partner of strategic importance.


Yuanta Securities commented, “While previous administrations mainly set directional targets, today’s environment requires real execution—especially in light of RE100 mandates and carbon border adjustment mechanisms. As renewable energy deployment accelerates, Korean solar firms with high domestic exposure are poised to benefit.”
